Jones Foster Attorney Michael B. Habib Appointed to Federal Bar Association Leadership Roles
Jones Foster, a commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Jupiter, is pleased to announce that litigation attorney Michael B. Habib has been elevated and appointed to several leadership roles within the Federal Bar Association (FBA), reflecting his continued commitment to the profession, civics education, and service to the legal community.
Nationally, Mr. Habib has been named an Articles Editor for The Federal Lawyer, the FBA’s national magazine, following his service as a Staff Editor on the publication’s Editorial Board during the 2025–26 term. The magazine provides federal practitioners with extensive, up-to-date coverage of legal issues, developments, and emerging perspectives relevant to the federal legal system. He has also been appointed to the FBA’s Civics, Service and Outreach Committee, which supports initiatives promoting civics education, understanding of the rule of law, community service, and pro bono engagement.
Locally, Mr. Habib was elected Secretary of the FBA’s Palm Beach County Chapter, advancing to an officer from his previous role as Civics Liaison for the Civil Discourse and Difficult Decisions (CD3) program. As Secretary, he will manage the Chapter’s documentation and correspondence, coordinate with the FBA’s National Office, and maintain the membership roster and records regarding annual activity reporting.
Mr. Habib’s involvement with the FBA builds on his experience within the state and federal court systems. Before joining Jones Foster, he completed three judicial clerkships, gaining insight into judicial decision-making, court operations, and the administration of justice at both the state and federal levels. His clerkships included serving as a Staff Attorney to Justice C. Alan Lawson of the Florida Supreme Court; a federal Pro Se Law Clerk to Chief Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga and Judges Beth F. Bloom, Robert N. Scola, Jr., Robin L. Rosenberg, Aileen M. Cannon, and Kenneth A. Marra; and, most recently, a Judicial Law Clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Marty F. Elfenbein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
The Federal Bar Association is dedicated to promoting the welfare, interests, education, and professional development of attorneys involved in the federal legal system.
