Genny Bernstein, a member of the Private Wealth, Wills, Trusts & Estates practice group, is a Florida Bar Board Certified Elder Law attorney. She focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, wills and trusts, guardianships, special needs trusts, veteran benefits, and long-term care Medicaid. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court and Florida state courts and is an Accredited Attorney for claims, preparation, presentation and prosecution with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Genny is a regular speaker on the topics of elder law, estate planning, and Medicaid and veterans benefits at public and private events, workshops, healthcare fairs, and seminars throughout Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties. She holds leadership roles in several industry organizations, including as chair of The Florida Bar Elder Law Section’s publication committee and editor of its newsletter, The Advocate; co-chair for the Unprogram of the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys (AFELA); and most recently as a founding board member of the Jewish Lawyers Association of Palm Beach County. Genny is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section (RPPTL) of The Florida Bar. She previously served as chair of The Florida Bar's 15th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee E and as co-chair of the Board Certification Committee of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers Palm Beach County.
Genny is consistently selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, Florida Super Lawyers, and Palm Beach Illustrated’s “Top Lawyers,” and was recognized by The Florida Bar Elder Law Section as a 2020 Member of the Year. She is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law.
Alex Brams is a member of the firm’s Trust & Estate Litigation team and focuses his practice on the areas of probate, trust, guardianship, and fiduciary litigation, as well as commercial litigation, throughout Florida’s state and federal courts. Alex represents fiduciaries and individuals in all probate, trust, and guardianship settings, including will and trust contests, breach of trust actions, personal representative and trustee removal and accounting actions, will and trust reformation and modification proceedings, contested guardianships, exploitation and tortious interference litigation. He also represents personal representatives, trustees, court-appointed administrators, beneficiaries, and creditors in all facets of probate, trust, and guardianship administration.
Alex is an active member of several industry organizations, including The Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section and the Palm Beach County Bar Association, where he is a board member of its Young Lawyers Section and a member of several committees. He is also a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches’ Leadership West Palm Beach program.
Alex has been recognized in several industry publications, including in The Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America, Florida Super Lawyers, and Palm Beach Illustrated’s “Top Lawyers.” He graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, attending as the recipient of a Dean’s Merit Scholarship.
