Jones Foster, a private and commercial law firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida, is proud to announce that real estate attorney John J. Campo has successfully completed the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches’ 2023 Leadership West Palm Beach program.
As part of Leadership West Palm Beach, John and his class were exposed to integral components of the community which offered a glimpse into the inner workings of city government, economic development, education, health and human services, arts, culture and festivals, neighborhoods, and the city’s watershed. The experience is meant to generate leaders with well-rounded knowledge to assist in future planning and decision-making for the betterment of West Palm Beach, according to the Chamber.
“Leadership West Palm Beach introduced me to a diverse group of business leaders across a variety of industries who I otherwise would not have had the opportunity to connect with,” John said about his experience. “The program provided valuable insight into the functioning and complexities of our city as well as the organizations that serve West Palm Beach and its residents. It showed me that there are many ways of contributing to the public well-being.”
Program sessions ran from January to May and included a visit to The Square, City Center, Western Communities, and the North End. Other topics included Health & Human Services and Community & Culture.
Leadership West Palm Beach is dedicated to cultivating the leadership potential of individuals who reside or work in the City of West Palm Beach and utilizing their skills to foster the development of programs and opportunities that would enrich and improve the quality of life in the Palm Beaches. Members are chosen by a selection committee that reviews the application and up to 28 individuals are selected for each class.
John Campo, a member of Jones Foster’s Real Estate team, represents clients in transactions concerning acquisitions and dispositions as well as commercial leasing projects. He is actively involved with the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County as a volunteer for its Adult Essay Initiative and as a member of the Literacy Links Golf Tournament Committee. John is also a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.
