Rubin has been elected Secretary by the members of the Federal Bar Association Palm Beach County Chapter for the 2023-2024 term. Officers were sworn in by Senior Judge Kenneth A. Marra during a hybrid installation ceremony that also included a Q&A session with U.S. Magistrate Judge Eduardo I. Sanchez.
As Secretary, Hanna will participate in board meetings to help plan and execute events and programs and along with fellow board members will represent the chapter at events. Prior to serving as Secretary, Hanna represented the FBA’s Palm Beach County Chapter as National Delegate at all National Council meetings to inform chapter members of developments in federal practice and served as the liaison between the Chapter and other local, state, and national bar associations.
The Federal Bar Association promotes the welfare, interests, education, and professional development of all attorneys involved in federal law. The Palm Beach County Chapter is committed to offering members meaningful opportunities to get to know the federal judges in the Southern District of Florida, to network with fellow federal practitioners, and to engage in continuing legal education (CLE) opportunities pertinent to their diverse practice areas.
Hanna is a member of Jones Foster’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group and represents businesses, individuals, and municipalities in matters involving commercial litigation and governmental litigation. She is actively involved with several industry and nonprofit organizations, including the Florida Association of Women Lawyers Palm Beach County Chapter where she is Chair of the Grant Writing Committee and a mentee for its Mentorship Program. She previously served as Co-Chair of the Federal Session of the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s (PBCBA) 2023 Bench Bar Conference and is a member of the PBCBA's Young Lawyers Section and North County Section.
