About Travis

Travis Foels, a Jones Foster Shareholder, is a member of the firm's Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Land Use & Governmental practice groups. Travis is a trial and appellate litigator who represents businesses, individuals, and municipalities in complex civil disputes, with an emphasis on real estate litigation, development litigation, commercial litigation, and governmental litigation. He has secured verdicts, summary judgments, dismissals with prejudice, and favorable settlements on behalf of his clients. He has also litigated matters before Florida and federal appellate courts, and has argued before the Florida Supreme Court.

Travis holds leadership roles in several professional and community organizations, including serving on the board of directors of the University of Florida Levin College of Law Alumni Council and the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County. He is also active in local and state bar organizations, including The Florida Bar, where he is a member of the Journal/News Editorial Board. In addition, Travis serves as Jones Foster’s Recruiting Shareholder, leading the firm’s attorney recruiting and selection process and working with practice group chairs to identify law school and lateral talent.

Travis was recognized as one of the University of Florida’s 2026 40 Gators Under 40, an award that recognizes outstanding University of Florida alumni who have achieved exceptional professional success and demonstrated a strong commitment to serving their community. He has also earned recognition in several leading peer-reviewed legal directories, including The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for commercial litigation and real estate litigation, Florida Super Lawyers: Rising Stars for Personal Injury General: Defense, and Palm Beach Illustrated’s “Top Lawyers” in the categories of business litigation and commercial litigation. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he finished in the top 3% in his class, earned five book awards, and was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Coif.
