Jones Foster Attorney Rachel L. Sears Elected to Boys Town South Florida Board of Directors

Jones Foster, a full-service commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Jupiter, is pleased to announce that corporate and private wealth attorney Rachel L. Sears has been elected to the Boys Town South Florida Board of Directors.

Boys Town South Florida is the local affiliate of Boys Town, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to child and family care, healthcare, and research. Boys Town operates in six states, with three locations in Florida, each offering targeted services to assist children and families in the communities they serve.

In her role as a member of the board, Rachel will work with other business and community leaders to help provide corporate governance and guidance for Boys Town South Florida, ensuring that each department and program furthers the organization’s mission and expands its impact.

The mission of Boys Town South Florida is to provide life-changing care and support to at-risk children and families through a variety of programs and services designed to foster emotional, educational, and behavioral development. These resources include in-home family services, mental health support for children in crisis, Common Sense Parenting courses, home visits focused on pre-literacy skills for toddlers, as well as tools to support elementary school students’ emotional and physical well-being.

Rachel is a member of the Corporate & Tax and Private Wealth, Wills, Trusts & Estates practice groups and concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate law, estate planning, and estate and trust administration. She works with clients on corporate transactions, including transfers of business interests, LLC creation, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring, and handles the drafting of comprehensive legal documents to ensure that her clients’ interests are protected at every stage of the transaction process.

Rachel also advises clients on estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives. In addition, she provides counsel to personal representatives, trustees, and beneficiaries in probate and trust administration, guiding them through the legal and personal challenges that can be involved in administering an estate.

In addition to her leadership role with Boys Town, Rachel serves on the East Coast Estate Planning Council’s Board of Directors and is an active member of the Palm Beach Tax Institute and the Young Friends of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. She is involved in several bar organizations, including The Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, and is a member of the Young Lawyers sections of The Florida Bar, the Palm Beach Bar Association, and the ABA.
