Jones Foster Attorney Lucia E. DeFilippo Graduates from Leadership West Palm Beach 2026 Chamber Program

Jones Foster, a commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Jupiter, Florida, is pleased to announce that trust and estate litigation attorney Lucia E. DeFilippo has graduated from the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches’ Leadership West Palm Beach Class of 2026.

Originally drawn to the program as an opportunity to better understand the community she now calls home, Ms. DeFilippo was one of 28 professionals selected for the Leadership class to explore the organizations, industries, and issues shaping the future of West Palm Beach. Through immersive educational experiences, participants gained firsthand insight into key sectors of the city, including government, business, education, public safety, healthcare, and economic development, while building relationships with fellow professionals committed to strengthening the community.

Ms. DeFilippo’s participation in Leadership West Palm Beach reflects Jones Foster's longstanding commitment to civic engagement and community leadership. For more than a century, the firm has encouraged its attorneys to serve organizations that strengthen Palm Beach County and improve quality of life throughout the region. Past firm graduates of the program include Brett T. Lashley (2025), Alexander L. Brams (2024), William G. Smith (2016), and Vice Chair Theodore S. Kypreos (2006).

Lucia DeFilippo is a member of Jones Foster's Trust and Estate Litigation team, where she focuses her practice on probate and trust disputes, helping families, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and other interested parties navigate complex and often sensitive matters.

Ms. DeFilippo graduated summa cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where she was the recipient of nine CALI Book Awards as well as several scholarships, including the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association Minority Women Leaders Scholarship, Kozyak Minority Mentorship Foundation Fellowship, and Sookie Williams Memorial Scholarship. While in law school, she was a member of the Nova Law Review and Moot Court Honor Society, and gained valuable experience as a judicial intern for the Honorable Darrin P. Gayles of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, as well as through internships with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida and the Office of the State Attorney for Florida’s 20th Judicial Circuit.
