Jones Foster Attorney Lucia DeFilippo Selected as Florida Bar RPPTL Section Fellow

Jones Foster is pleased to announce that trust and estate litigation attorney Lucia E. DeFilippo has been selected as a Fellow of The Florida Bar's Real Property, Probate and Trust Law (RPPTL) Section Fellowship Program, a prestigious professional development initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of section leaders through mentorship and active participation in section governance.

Now in its 17th year, the RPPTL Fellowship Program provides emerging attorneys with unique opportunities to work alongside section leaders, participate in committee initiatives, and contribute to the substantive work of one of The Florida Bar's largest and most active sections. Each year, a maximum of four attorneys statewide are selected for the highly competitive two-year fellowship.

As a RPPTL Fellow, Ms. DeFilippo will engage in leadership and committee service within the section, including participation in Executive Council meetings, service on the Membership Committee, and involvement in substantive committee projects. Fellows complete annual work projects that may include writing articles for the Section’s ActionLine publication, chairing a subcommittee, or drafting proposed legislation. As part of the Fellowship, Ms. DeFilippo will attend section meetings and will be paired with a committee mentor to help guide her professional development throughout the two-year term.

Ms. DeFilippo is a member of Jones Foster's Trust and Estate Litigation practice group, where she represents fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and other interested parties in probate, trust, and business litigation. In addition to RPPTL, she is actively involved in the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Estate/Probate CLE Committee and the Palm Beach County Hispanic Bar Association. Ms. DeFilippo is a 2026 graduate of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches’ Leadership West Palm Beach program.
