Jones Foster, a 100-year-old commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Jupiter, Florida, is pleased to announce that attorney Lainey W. Francisco was elected the president-elect of the St. Lucie Bar Association for the 2024-2025 term at the end-of-year meeting.
As president-elect, Lainey will assist the President in decision-making and continue to work with the Executive Board to oversee committee activities that support members through local bar meetings, networking events, and educational opportunities. She also will preside at all bar meetings and assume the responsibilities and duties of the president in their absence.
Lainey previously served as the Association’s treasurer, where she acted as the custodian of SLBA funds and securities. Most recently, she helped organize the SLBA Law Day Dinner, which featured Florida Supreme Court Justice John D. Couriel as keynote speaker.
Lainey is a member of the firm's Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Land Use & Governmental practice groups. She represents clients in matters involving commercial litigation, governmental litigation, municipal law, and land use and zoning.
In addition, Lainey is actively involved in industry organizations including the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the Palm Beach County chapters of the Federal Bar Association and Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She was named to Palm Beach Illustrated’s 2023 “Top Lawyers” list for municipal law.
Lainey graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she served as a managing editor of the Florida Law Review and vice president of the Law College Council.
