Jones Foster, a 100-year-old commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Jupiter, is pleased to announce that litigation attorney Lainey W. Francisco has been appointed to the Executive Board of the 19th Judicial Circuit Professionalism Panel by Chief Judge Charles A. Schwab to serve a three-year term.
As one of five members selected to serve on the Professionalism Panel, Lainey will work to address complaints against attorneys within the 19th Judicial Circuit, which comprises Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties. In addition to reviewing complaints, the Professionalism Panel meets with attorneys who may have conducted themselves in a manner inconsistent with the Standards of Professionalism and counsels attorneys on how to avoid similar inconsistent conduct in the future.
The Professionalism Panel is independent of The Florida Bar and the judiciary. It consists of members in good standing of The Florida Bar who are either residents of or have principal offices in the 19th Judicial Circuit and/or are retired members of the judiciary, all who volunteer on an annual basis to be on the Panel, according to Amended Administrative Order No. 2015-06, signed by Judge Elizabeth A. Metzger. Any person may initiate a professionalism complaint against a member of The Florida Bar practicing within the 19th Judicial Circuit through the Professionalism Panel and submit it to the chair of the Executive Board by email.
