Jones Foster Supports Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County’s Annual Golf Tournament
Jones Foster was a sponsor of the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County’s eighth annual Literacy Links Golf Tournament, which raised $50,000 to support literacy programs for children and adults in our local community.
Litigation shareholder Travis J. Foels led the Jones Foster team foursome and secured the title as the 2024 tournament first-place winner. The benefit tournament took place at the Palm Beach Par 3 golf course in a shotgun start and scramble format, and 68 participant golfers competed individually and in teams of foursomes.
Travis serves as a member of the Golf Tournament Committee as well as volunteers in the organization’s Read with Me program. Volunteers in the Literacy Coalition’s Read with Me program read books one-on-one with kindergarten students at local elementary schools and participate in activities during a single session. The students get to take the books and activities home to continue practicing their literacy skills. Volunteers in the Adult Essay Initiative review essays written by adult education students throughout Palm Beach County and will provide constructive feedback for improvement.
Travis Foels is a Jones Foster shareholder and member of the firm's Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group. He represents businesses, individuals, and municipalities in civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial litigation, real estate litigation, product liability, premises liability, and personal injury matters.
