About Danielle
Danielle Jakeman is a member of Jones Foster’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group and Complex Trial Team. She represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, fraud, defamation, product liability, and other general business disputes, from inception to trial and appeal.
Danielle has served as supporting counsel in jury and bench trials through all stages of trial, including drafting and arguing pretrial motions, jury selection (voir dire), witness examinations, and directed verdict and post-trial motions. Her recent trials include a partnership dispute concerning a multimillion-dollar commercial real estate portfolio, a catastrophic personal injury case, and a high-profile abuse of process and defamation case involving conversion of genetic material. She is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Prior to joining Jones Foster, Danielle gained valuable insight into the federal court system, having served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Jacqueline Becerra, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Florida, and most recently as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Bruce E. Reinhart, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Florida.
Danielle is actively involved in several legal organizations, including the Palm Beach County chapters of the Federal Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association, and the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, as well as the Palm Beach County Bar Association. She is also a proud member of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida’s Committee to Oversee Events Commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month, alongside federal judges and select members of other prominent firms in South Florida.
Danielle graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she served as a Managing Editor of the Florida Law Review. She also served as a Teaching Assistant to UF law students in Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy. During her law school studies, Danielle served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Ursula Ungaro, former U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Florida.
