Jones Foster Litigation Shareholder Theodore S. Kypreos served as the featured speaker at the Miami-Dade Bar Probate and Guardianship Committee’s monthly continuing legal education (CLE) webinar.
Theo’s presentation “Recent Developments & Common Pitfalls in the Creditors’ Claims Process” discussed specific timelines and procedures that creditors must follow to ensure their claims against an estate are valid and enforceable; the responsibilities of a personal representative in regard to a claim; and the application of Jones v. Golden to known or reasonably ascertainable creditors.
As the largest voluntary bar association in Florida, the Miami-Dade Bar (formerly the Dade County Bar Association) provides ongoing networking opportunities, high-quality and timely continuing legal education, and leadership development opportunities for attorneys.
The Probate and Guardianship Committee is one of a variety of committees that educate and inform members on substantive areas of the law and provide forums for the discussion of common problems and issues, which affect their particular practice area and are the backbone of the organization.
As a Jones Foster Shareholder and experienced trial and appellate attorney, Theo focuses his practice in the areas of probate and trust litigation, trust and estate administration, guardianship law, and fiduciary litigation.
