Jones Foster Shareholder Michael J. Gore Elected Officer of the Firm

Jones Foster, a full-service commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Jupiter, is pleased to announce that litigation shareholder Michael J. Gore has been elected an officer of the firm following the annual Officer’s Meeting.

Mike Gore is a member of Jones Foster’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Corporate & Tax practice groups and concentrates his practice in the areas of employment, construction, and securities law. He represents clients in a wide variety of industry sectors as well as municipalities, routinely providing counsel in the area of employment law and practices, corporate investigations, contract review and drafting, and drafting employment policies and handbooks.

In the area of construction law, Mike represents developers, builders, contractors, homeowners, business owners, and design professionals in matters involving construction delays, contract disputes, claims of construction defects, and construction liens. He also advises clients on issues involving complex and ever-changing securities laws and regulations for traditional securities as well as emerging technologies such as cryptocurrencies. He has represented issuers of securities, brokerage firms, and investors, and draws on his unique experience of working in the Investor Protection Bureau at the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Mike earned his J.D. from New York Law School and went on to receive his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Securities & Financial Regulation from the Georgetown University Law Center.

Mike is actively involved in several legal and industry organizations, including with the Palm Beach County Office of Equal Opportunity where he is vice chair of the Fair Housing/Equal Employment Board. He is also a member of the Associated General Contractors of America East Coast Chapter, The Florida Bar’s Labor and Employment Section and Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section, as well as the American Bar Association.

In addition, Mike has been named to the prestigious Best Lawyers in America in the area of Commercial Litigation as well as on the “Ones to Watch” list in the area of Construction Litigation. He also has received recognition in Palm Beach Illustrated’s “Top Lawyers” list for Construction Law and Labor and Employment Law. Notably, he co-authored "Expert Witnesses," Florida Construction & Practice, 8th Ed., (FL Bar, 2015) and “Trial Preparation,” Florida Construction Law & Practice, 9th Ed. and 10th Ed., (FL Bar, 2018, 2021).
