Jones Foster Holiday Drives Support Palm Beach County Nonprofits Benefitting Children and Pets

Jones Foster, a 100-year-old commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Jupiter, is proud to support two longstanding Palm Beach County nonprofits benefitting area foster children and companion animals of families in need this holiday season.

The holiday toy drive supported a joint effort organized by Speak Up for Kids Palm Beach County and the Kiwanis Club of West Palm Beach to provide gifts to Palm Beach County foster children in the Florida Guardian ad Litem program. Thanks to generous donations by employees and the firm through the Jones Foster Impact program, more than 100 toys and gift cards were collected as part of a series of community involvement initiatives marking the firm’s 100th year celebration.

The gifts were distributed to children who attended the annual Stanley Klett, Sr. Winterfest Carnival, which was established nearly 30 years ago by Stan Klett, Sr. and has become a festive holiday event filled with food, games, and activities for children and families in the dependency court system. Litigation attorney Stanley D. Klett, Jr.’s father dedicated 20 years of service as a Guardian ad Litem to advocate for children involved in dependency cases. Mr. Klett continues his father’s legacy through fundraising and volunteering each year at this cherished event, and the firm is proud to be an annual sponsor. Private wealth and tax shareholder William G. “Bill” Smith is a longtime supporter of the Kiwanis Club, serving three consecutive terms as president of the Club’s Foundation and as current chair of its Class Scholarship Committee.

In addition, the firm selected Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League’s “Peggy’s Pantry” food bank to support its efforts in providing pet food to families facing financial instability to keep pets and their families together. Employee and firm donations resulted in more than 100 bags of dry food and cases of wet food for dogs and cats of local families registered with the program.

This year alone, Peggy’s Pantry will provide over 350,000 meals for pets in need. With housing and food costs on the rise, many families are struggling to feed their pets, often leading to heartbreaking decisions to surrender beloved animals to already overwhelmed shelters. Peggy’s Pantry is part of a larger Safety Net program designed to support families experiencing financial challenges, housing crises, hospitalization, or other hardships.
