Jones Foster is proud to announce the addition of Brett Lashley as a member of the Firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group in West Palm Beach. As a law student at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Brett participated in the 2019 Jones Foster Summer Associate Program.
“We are pleased to welcome Brett back to Jones Foster after his successful time as a Summer Associate with us,” said Board Member and Litigation Shareholder Theo Kypreos. “I am very proud of our Summer Associate Program. Attorneys from various practice groups work closely with the law students during this immersive experience, which enables us to effectively evaluate and recruit new talent in an organic way. We take pride in our longstanding culture of mentoring and empowering young attorneys to grow within our ranks. Many of our Senior Shareholders and Board Members began their careers as an Associate at Jones Foster – it’s an approach that has served the Firm well.”
While earning his Juris Doctor degree, Brett was the Vice-Chair of Intermural Competitions for The Florida Moot Court Team and was awarded Best Brief in the Appellate Lawyers Association competition in Chicago. He also held the position of Vice President of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, was a member of the Journal of Technology Law and Policy, and provided pro bono legal services to Veterans as a member of the Veterans and Service Members Legal Clinic. Brett gained valuable experience as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy, and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Mark W. Klingensmith, Fourth District Court of Appeal, West Palm Beach.
