Jones Foster is proud to announce that Shareholder William G. Smith has been elected president of the East Coast Estate Planning Council Palm Beach County for the 2020-2021 term.
Bill will lead the Council’s Board of Directors in planning and conducting the Council’s Fall 2020 – Spring 2021 season and will host the Council’s monthly meetings during the season.
The East Coast Estate Planning Council has been serving the professional education and business development needs of estate planning professionals of the Greater West Palm Beach area for more than 40 years. Only practicing professionals active in the field of estate planning are considered for membership. Jones Foster is an annual sponsor of the organization.
Bill Smith is a member of the Private Wealth, Trusts & Estates and Corporate & Tax teams and concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, transactional corporate law, and taxation, which includes advanced transfer tax planning.
Bill is a graduate of the Florida Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is a Past President of The Kiwanis Club of West Palm Beach and currently serves as a Board Member of The Kiwanis Club of West Palm Beach Foundation. He serves as a Director on the Board of the Planned Giving Council and is a member of the Palm Beach Tax Institute.
