Thomas J. Baird has been appointed to States Attorney David Aronberg’s Recovery Residences Task Force.
The Task Force was created by the Florida Legislature to conduct a study to strengthen, investigate and prosecute criminal and civil violations within the substance abuse treatment industry. The States Attorney will also identify amendments, existing laws or the creation of new laws to ensure that communities remain safe and individuals with substance abuse disabilities are protected.
Mr. Baird is a Florida Bar Board Certified City, County and Local Government Attorney. He is the current Town Attorney for the Towns of Jupiter and Lake Park and serves as General Counsel to the Westgate/Belvedere Homes Community Redevelopment Agency. His practice focuses on the representation of municipalities, land use and zoning law and litigation, including code enforcement, property rights, takings, and constitutional law matters.
