Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs, P.A. announces that Thomas J. Baird has recently been selected to represent the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District.
The South Florida Water Management District is directed by nine Governing Board Members who set policy for the agency. They reside within the agency's 16-county region and represent a cross section of interests, including the environment, agriculture, local government, recreation and business. Governing Board members are unpaid citizen volunteers appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Florida Senate.
Tom is a Florida Bar Board Certified City, County and Local Government Attorney. His practice focuses on the representation of municipalities, land use and zoning law, and litigation, including code enforcement, property rights, takings, and constitutional law matters. He represents counties, municipalities, and developers in state and federal courts.
