Scott G. Hawkins Serves as Panelist at National Association of Legal Fee Analysis Webinar

Jones Foster Vice-Chair and Litigation Shareholder, Scott G. Hawkins, served as a panel speaker at the National Association of Legal Fee Analysis (NALFA) continuing legal education webinar titled, “Proving Attorney Fees in Court”. Geared to an audience of litigators from across the U.S. as well as journalists from national industry publications and news outlets, the program discussed a range of issues that arise from the fee-setting stage of litigation and provided practice tips for fee-seeking and fee-challenging litigators.

The National Association of Legal Fee Analysis (NALFA) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit professional association for the legal fee analysis field. Its members provide a range of services on attorney fees and legal billing matters to courts and clients seeking expertise when attorney fees and expenses are at issue in large, complex cases. NALFA members are fully qualified attorney fee experts, special fee masters, bankruptcy fee examiners, fee dispute neutrals, and legal bill auditors.

Scott is a past president of The Florida Bar and a Board Certified Business Litigation specialist. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation with an emphasis on intellectual property, trade secret disputes, trademark infringement, covenants not to compete, securities, real estate litigation, and claims arising under ERISA Plans, representing public and private companies in a variety of industries, including technology, medical, environmental, real estate, land use, insurance, and military. Scott regularly serves as an attorney fees counsel and expert witness and has been appointed by the courts as a receiver, trustee, statutory investigator (corporate derivative disputes), mediator and special master given his experience, ethics, and judgment.
