Litigation Shareholder Joanne O’Connor served as co-moderator for the Palm Beach County Bar Association (PBCBA) webinar entitled, “Civility and Good Practice: Navigating Complex Cases During the Pandemic.” The webinar featured a distinguished panel of federal and state court judges, including U.S. District Judge Robin Rosenberg, U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Judge Glenn Kelley, and Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Judge Cymonie Rowe.
Civility and good practice within the legal system during the Covid-19 pandemic was the focus of the webinar. Discussion topics included the scheduling of hearings and depositions; written discovery; motion practice; the use of exhibits and witness testimony during evidentiary hearings and bench trails via video, and best practices while arguing a video hearing.
The Palm Beach County Bar Association’s mission is to serve its members, foster professionalism, and enhance the public’s understanding and awareness of the legal system. The organization offers members and non-members various ways of acquiring CLE credit hours including seminars, webinars, and conferences.
Joanne O’Connor is a Florida Bar Board Certified specialist in Business Litigation who focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation including contracts and business torts, partnership and corporate disputes, civil RICO, real estate and land use litigation, and lawyer and law firm defense.
