Attorneys have been appointed by The Florida Bar President Dori Foster-Morales for the term beginning July 1, 2020, and will actively participate in the following committees throughout the year, using their experience to further enhance the important work of The Florida Bar.
Board Member and Shareholder Theo S. Kypreos will serve on the Probate Rules Committee, a committee charged with the proposal of new rules of procedure and changes to existing rules. Theo is an experienced trial and appellate attorney and focuses his practice in the areas of probate and trust litigation, trust and estate administration, guardianship law, and fiduciary litigation.
Shareholder and current Federal Bar Association Palm Beach County President Joanne M. O’Connor is reappointed to the Federal Court Practice Committee which serves as the Bar’s liaison to the federal courts, federal bar organizations in Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Judicial Conference, and others interested in federal practice. She will also serve on the Business Litigation Certification Committee. Joanne is a Florida Bar Board Certified specialist in Business Litigation who focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation including contracts and business torts, partnership and corporate disputes, civil RICO, real estate and land use litigation, and lawyer and law firm defense.
Shareholder Roberto M. Vargas and Of Counsel H. Adams Weaver have been reappointed to the Eminent Domain Committee. The scope and function of this committee is to study and keep informed of recent developments in the field of condemnation of private property for public use by governmental agencies or private companies who have the power of eminent domain.
Rob Vargas practices statewide in the areas of complex commercial litigation, business torts, real property litigation, and eminent domain. He advises property owners throughout Florida in all eminent domain-related proceedings and is admitted to practice before Florida state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels.
