Attorney at Law Magazine: Joanne O’Connor Shares Mentorship Journey in Women in Law Spotlight

Jones Foster litigation shareholder Joanne O’Connor, a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Business Litigation, was featured in Attorney at Law Magazine’s Women in Law Spotlight, where she reflected on the role mentorship played in shaping her legal career.

Ms. O’Connor shared how, just three months after becoming a new mother, she began her career as a federal law clerk under a judge who had also navigated parenting while practicing law. That mentorship experience, she said, gave her the confidence to grow into both motherhood and a successful legal career.

“Now, as an experienced business litigator, law firm shareholder, and officer, I endeavor to be an advocate and a resource for women lawyers so they can lean into my support as I did with my mentor 25 years ago,” she said.
