Jones Foster, a commercial and private client law firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida, was recognized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate its 100th Anniversary as a Palm Beach County-based business.
Jones Foster Chairman Scott G. Hawkins, Vice Chair Theodore S. Kypreos, and board member Steven J. Rothman joined Chamber President and CEO Donald Burgess in cutting the ribbon to officially mark the firm’s Centennial milestone. Jones Foster senior attorneys and shareholders were also present for the event as well as members of the Chamber’s staff.
In addition, Mr. Burgess presented Jones Foster with a legacy member award and emphasized the firm’s longstanding relationship with the Chamber over the past 64 years. “Congratulations, first of all, on this significant milestone,” Mr. Burgess said. “We’re thankful that you’ve been our partner for that long and we hope that that partnership can continue.”
Upon accepting the honor on behalf of the firm, Chairman Scott Hawkins noted that Jones Foster’s deep ties with the Chamber are a result of the attorneys’ various leadership roles over the years, including Peter A. Sachs, who served as chair of the board of directors; Theo Kypreos, who was a longtime member of the board of trustees as well as a board member; and Joanne M. O’Connor, who served on the board of directors. Mark H. Dahlmeier is a current member of the board of trustees.
Several Jones Foster attorneys are graduates of the Chamber’s Leadership West Palm Beach program, including Theo Kypreos (2006), William G. Smith (2016), and John J. Campo (2023). Alexander L. Brams is currently a member of the 2024 Leadership Class. The five-month program is designed to cultivate leadership potential among local business professionals through an understanding of the city's inner workings, including government, health and human services, education, economic development, arts, culture and festivals, neighborhoods, and the water catchment area.
