Jones Foster Sponsors the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s 2023 Bench Bar Conference

Jones Foster was a proud sponsor of the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s annual Bench Bar Conference, which serves as the largest gathering of judges, attorneys, and paralegals in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit offering a unique forum to share news and insights with the legal community. The conference took place at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach with the theme “Raising the Bar to Meet New Challenges” and featured two Jones Foster attorneys as Session Coordinators.

Litigation attorney Zachary M. Rothman served as Moderator and Co-chair of the Probate – Estate Session which provided updates on recent changes in the Probate and Guardianship Division. In addition, the Session featured four speakers who discussed topics that included advising fiduciaries during the estate and trust settlement period; preserving attorney-client privilege; Florida probate case law updates; and concluded with a Bench Bar Discussion with Judge Laura Johnson.

Zack represents clients in litigation involving estates, trusts, guardianships, and fiduciary disputes, as well as commercial litigation matters. He also counsels personal representatives, trustees, court-appointed administrators, beneficiaries, and creditors in all facets of probate, trust, and guardianship administration. Zack is actively involved in the PBCBA as a member of the Probate & Guardianship Practice Committee and the Estate/Probate CLE Committee. He also holds several leadership roles with The Florida Bar and is a graduate of the Florida Fellows Institute of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

Litigation attorney Hanna B. Rubin co-chaired the Federal Session of the Conference which featured several district judges and magistrate judges of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, including U.S. District Judge Robin L. Rosenberg and U.S. Magistrate judges Ryon M. McCabe, Bruce E. Reinhart, and Shaniek Maynard.

Hanna represents businesses, individuals, and municipalities in matters involving commercial litigation and governmental litigation. In addition to her involvement with the PBCBA’s Young Lawyers Section and North County Section, Hanna is the National Delegate for the Federal Bar Association Palm Beach County Chapter and an Advisory Board Member for Camp Kesem’s Nova Southeastern University chapter.
