Laura Maxwell is a member of Jones Foster’s Real Estate practice group where she focuses her practice on real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, and corporate transactions. Laura’s valuable experience in-house for a national real estate company provides her with a unique insight into the industry and enables her to best serve her clients in a broad range of matters.
As a result of her high achievement on the Florida Bar Exam, Laura was invited and honored to speak at the Florida Supreme Court on behalf of the newly admitted lawyers. Laura received her J.D. from the Florida International University College of Law, where she ranked in the top one percent of her class and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Torts, Contracts, Civil Procedure, Legal Skills and Values, and Constitutional Law. During law school, she was the Co-Founder and Treasurer of the International Dispute Resolution Club, was a student coach and participant of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong and Vienna, and was an Honorable Mention for the Eric E. Bergsten Award for Team Orals.
Laura received her A.S. in Paralegal Studies summa cum laude from Indian River State College, and her B.S. in Diplomacy and International Relations magna cum laude from Seton Hall University.
