Jacob Coates is a member of Jones Foster's Litigation & Dispute Resolution team and concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial, municipal, and trust and estates litigation. Jacob understands the challenges that clients face when confronted with complex legal issues, therefore he takes the time to thoroughly explain the process, options, and solutions. He walks in his clients' shoes, keeping their personal and commercial interests top of mind and communicating through every stage of the engagement.
Jacob earned his Juris Doctor degree and graduated magna cum laude from The University of Florida Levin College of Law where he was the recipient of seven Book Awards and named to the Order of the Coif, an honor society for law school graduates. While at the University of Florida, Jacob served on the Florida Law Review and gained valuable experience as a judicial intern to the Honorable Jonathan D. Gerber of the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Florida.
